McCarthy Park

McCarthy Park is located near the north end of Central Ave. just before the railroad tracks.  The park is named for one of Watkins' more famous native sons, former US Senator and 1968 Presidential candidate, Eugene McCarthy.  McCarthy Park offers a bandstand/stage, two open shelters and picnic tables.  The shelters may be reserved at no charge by calling City Hall.  A $150.00 damage deposit is required.

McCarthy Park is also the site where Watkins Kraut & Wurst Days are held the first weekend in August.
